"Neville stopped short when he overheard his name in a conversation coming from a group of Ravenclaw girls a few tables away. It wasn't nice to eavesdrop but . . . he couldn't help himself.
'Longbottom, of all people. Not the person I'D want for my not-so-secret admirer!'
The girls broke out into giggles. Neville felt his heart beat faster. Just who was in that group over there? Hopefully not . . . but surely they didn't know . . . he hadn't told a soul!
'Yes,' he heard a familiar dreamy voice reply, 'Neville Longbottom has been loking at me a great deal lately. I've noticed.'
At this moment, Neville wanted to die.
'But you don't know him as well as I do. He's very kind, and brave, and talented. And I like him very much, as well. So it works out nicely.'"

Another mini-fanfic for you ;b Luna's so straightforward . . .
I like these two as a couple! Neville's precious, and I think of Luna as being pretty . . . if she weren't so darn weird. But Neville's a little peculiar himself. I could see him developing a bit of a crush on Luna :aww:
